Details for teaching staff

Teaching staff coming from universities which whom we concluded an Erasmus Bilateral Agreement can teach a number of classes at West University of Timisoara, in the frame of Erasmus programme. Please check with the International Office of your university the availability of such an agreement.
All academic details (such as: which class to teach, when to come, teaching language, level of students - enrolled in the first, second of third level, etc.) of your stay should be discussed with the Erasmus Academic Coordinator from the faculty you are interested in teaching at.

  • All administrative details of your stay should be discussed with the Erasmus Incoming Officer, Horatiu Hot (horatiu.hot@ri.uvt.ro). Please feel free to contact him for any inquiries you might have. A list of hotels in Timisoara is available below. There is also possible to book a room in our university guest hall, located in the student area, 10 minutes walking distance from the university main building. There are double rooms, with shower and a small kitchen. The price is 71.4 RON (around 22 EURO) per night per bed. The rooms are fitted with TV and fridge, bed sheets included.

    At the end of your stay in Timisoara, you will be issued a certificate stating your Erasmus teaching period and the name of the class you taught.

    Universitatea de Vest din Timişoara/ West University of Timișoara is very pleased to announce its third edition of the Erasmus Staff Training Week: 18th – 22nd April 2016.

    Our Erasmus Staff Training Week targets all staff members from UVT’s partner universities interested in knowing more about us, as well as exploring the Challenges and Opportunities of the new Erasmus+ Programme and other processes of internationalization in the field of higher education in Europe and worldwide.

    Our Programme includes: presentations of UVT’s 11 faculties all actively involved in Erasmus+ exchanges, presentation of our Department of International Relations and the Erasmus Office within it, job shadowing for all our participants, visit at the museum, networking and farewell dinners at nearby famous gourment restaurant and vineyard.

    During the time spent together we will discuss various means and approaches to support all Erasmus+ participants in our universities in order to make them feel at home and offer optimum international study/placement/teaching/training conditions. Therefore, we would like to invite you all to share knowledge and good practices with us in Timişoara, the biggest city in the West of Romania.

    Should you be interested in participating in our Erasmus Staff Training Week, 3rd edition 2016, please fill in the application form (available here ) by the 20th of March 2016. Participation fee: 80 euros/ person– to be paid upon arrival. The participation fee includes: coffee breaks Mo-Fri, networking dinner and farewell dinner.

    For accommodation in the city centre you can book a room in Hotel Central Timisoara, located within 10 minutes walking distance from the university. For all participants in the event, the hotel’s offer is: 160 RON/night (36 euros/night) for SINGLE room; 180 RON/night (40 euros/night) for DOUBLE room.   • Erasmus Staff Training Week, 2nd edition: 20th-24th April 2015

    West University of Timisoara is very pleased to announce its second edition of the Erasmus Staff Training Week: 20th – 24th April 2015.

    Our Erasmus Staff Training Week targets all staff members from UVT’s partner universities interested in knowing more about us, as well as exploring the Challenges and Opportunities of the new Erasmus+ Programme and other processes of internationalization in the field of higher education in Europe and worldwide.

    Our Programme includes: presentations of UVT’s 11 faculties all actively involved in Erasmus+ exchanges, presentation of our Department of International Relations and the Erasmus Office within it, job shadowing for all our participants, visit at the museum, networking and farewell dinners at nearby famous gourmet restaurant in Bazos and vineyard of Recas.

    During the time spent together we will discuss various means and approaches to support all Erasmus+ participants in our universities in order to make them feel at home and offer optimum international study/placement/teaching/training conditions. Therefore, we would like to invite you all to share knowledge and good practices with us in Timisoara, the biggest city in the West of Romania.

    Should you be interested in participating in our Erasmus Staff Training Week, 2nd edition 2015, please fill in the application form (available here) by the 20th of March 2015. Participation fee: 150 euros/ person (accommodation included) – to be paid upon arrival.

    The accommodation we provide is in a residence hall located in the student campus (5 minutes walking distance from the main university building): double rooms (2 persons), sheets and covers included, Internet access provided. Accommodation is offered during the Erasmus Staff Training Week (maximum from Sunday night - 19th of April, until Friday night - 24th of April).

  • Erasmus Staff Training Week, 1st edition: 7th-11th April 2014

    Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara is very pleased to announce its first Erasmus Staff Training Week, to be held from 7th – 11th April 2014.

    Our Erasmus Staff Week targets all staff members from partner universities interested in knowing about UVT as well as exploring the Challenges and Opportunities of the new Erasmus+ Programme in regards to the internationalization of higher education in Europe and worldwide.

    Our Programme includes: presentation of UVT’s 11 faculties all actively involved in Erasmus exchanges, presentation of our Department of International Relations and the Erasmus Office within it, together with other departments willing to take on Erasmus STT candidates (IT dept, Library, IR Office, DAIP etc), open discussions with UVT’s both Incoming and Outgoing Erasmus students, job shadowing, teaching opportunities at all of our 11 faculties, city tour, trip to a nearby famous vineyard and farewell dinner.
