SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NON-EUROPEAN CANDIDATES<\/strong><\/p>

The admission process, including scholarships for citizens from EU third countries is performed according to the Methodology for admission to Studies at the West University of Timisoara for Third Country Nationals, through the decision no. 48 from 18.12.2025.<\/i><\/a><\/p>

Candidates from non-EU countries have two options if they wish to apply for a scholarship:<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Romanian State Scholarships<\/span><\/div>

Candidates from EU third countries may benefit from the following types of scholarships according to Order No. 3236\/2017 on the approval of the Methodology for the admission to studies and schooling of foreign citizens on places without paying tuition fees and with a scholarship and on places without paying tuition fees, but without a scholarship, in accredited state higher education institutions, entered into force on February 28, 2017, published in the Official Gazette, Part I, No. 149 of February 28, 2017.
a.<\/strong> On the basis of reciprocity in accordance with the stipulations of mutual bilateral agreements in the educational field. The vacancies for such grants may be assigned in the form of \u2018monthly grants\u2019;
b<\/strong>.On the basis of unilateral offers of the Romanian Government, regulated with specific normative documents;
c.<\/strong>On the basis of offers of the Romanian Government in accordance with the existing legal stipulations, at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, depending on the international interests of Romania; <\/p>\n

Every year, the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers a series of scholarships to citizens from countries outside the European Union. Only candidates with good academic results are eligible, namely an average of at least 7 (seven) years of study, for the last school graduated, corresponding to the Romanian scoring system or the grade “Good”, as the case may be. <\/p>\n

Applicants can select their study program of interest in all fields, except Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. For bachelor’s and master’s degrees, only study programs in Romanian are available, thus promoting the Romanian language and culture. However, at the doctoral level, candidates can also opt for a program in English or in a foreign language established by the doctoral school. A preparatory year in Romanian is also granted before enrolling in the chosen study program, for those who do not speak Romanian. <\/p>\n

Required documents include diplomas, transcripts, birth certificate and passport, CV – all described in the application process.<\/p>\n
